These new technology intraocular lenses correct your vision at distance, intermediate and near. If being less dependent on glasses is of interest to you, this is a lens that you should consider. We will do additional testing at the cataract seminar to ensure that you are a good candidate. In the FDA study, 80% of patients did not need any glasses after surgery. With these lenses, one possible side effect is glare and halos around lights. This typically diminishes over time and most patients are not significantly bothered by it. Also, for quality near vision, you will need good lighting.
